I’m from Smalltown, USA and like every stereotypical small town girl living in a lonely world, I took a midnight train going anywhere.

Alright, alright, I’m romanticizing my life. I would have taken a midnight train, if we had midnight trains in Smalltown. Instead I was squandering my youth and good looks on experiencing the world and learning some valuable life lessons. I wanted to get out and explore; go beyond the horizon; see new things. So I packed up all my worldly possessions into one little knapsack and hit the road.

Well, okay, if we’re being honest, it was more like I packed up all my worldly possessions into two fifty-pound suitcases and an equally heavy carry-on bag and then called a cab. But it sounds much more romantic the first way.

I’ve done a lot of traveling in my quest for life lessons. I think it’s always been in my blood to travel around. Spending too long in one place makes me antsy. After a while, things stop being new and exciting and become everyday and boring.

Currently, life has me residing in Bigcity, USA and I’m continually keeping my eye out for the next grand adventure, which presented itself in the form of online dating.  After meeting a couple (dozen) different guys ranging from nice to not, I met one who makes life better.

Now we’re engaged and embarking on the rest of our lives together… if we can just get through the wedding planning phase.  This blog details my adventures in dating, life lessons, engagement, and wedding planning.  And then hopefully more to come!
