You know, it’s really great not being the first person you know to get married. It means that you can go to your friends’ weddings and decide what you like or dislike. You can learn from their mistakes (no, the best man will NOT be allowed to drink before his speech), do preemptive planning (yes, the bridal party will need sun screen), but most importantly learn how to navigate the tumultuous waters of wedding planning.
That being said, I’m pretty sure that every time I get off the phone with my sister she laughs maniacally and calls me a sucker. I played right into her evil masterminded plan to get married first and deal with all the drama/excitement/craziness/scheming/what-have-you. Why didn’t I think of this first?
