Tales from Winter Storm Jonas Hour 25

It’s been snowing for over 24 hours.  The days are all starting to blur together in a grey-white snow haze.  We may never see the sun again.  Thank goodness our food reserves are highly stocked.  And we have a lot of whiskey.

In an attempt to be productive, I told The Beau we had to finally take down the Christmas decorations.  He didn’t want to, but since it’s nearly February, I got my point across.  He shoveled off our patio to get to the storage closet.  Twenty minutes later you couldn’t even tell he had shoveled anything.

The 45 mph winds are whipping around the apartment complex, whistling and howling constantly.  I’m not sure why parents let their kids out to play in this weather, but their laughter gets carried up to our 3rd floor flat on those same winds.

My friends are posting pictures on facebook and instagram of how they went out to play.  Good for them.  I’m not that crazy.  Instead, I’ve stayed inside all day and booked a trip to Disney World.

Who knows what will happen next.
